Welcome to the Theoretical High Energy Physics group (THEP)
at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University.
Our research focuses on quarks and leptons and their fundamental strong and electroweak interactions, as well as new physics beyond the Standard Model, e.g. supersymmetry and Higgs physics. We are also interested in astroparticle physics.
We do phenomenology, i.e. theory in close connection to experimental reality, and formulate mathematical models that often use Monte Carlo methods to computer-simulate complex high energy particle interactions in accelerator-based experiments or astrophysical processes.
